The Kona Operator has run the bike parks for years, and keeping up with the times it can now be ordered in a bigger and better 27.5" wheel. Identical to the original Operator, but with the added stability and control, the 27.5" is perfect for anyone looking to push their way through the downhill world.

"Building off of the success of our Operator platform, as well as our long heritage in downhill racing, we wanted to create the most effective race bike in our history—both in function and form. Built around an incredibly light, narrow and stiff alloy frame, and featuring the speed and function of 27.5-inch wheels, we take the Operator to a new level of downhill performance. Frame Features: With a tidy, uncluttered aesthetic, we evolve our Operator platform with a new model that’s ultra-refined for World Cup downhill use. Highlighted by an alloy frame that’s as light as our previous carbon model, with 27.5-inch wheels and a longer wheelbase via a long reach and slacker head tube angle, the new Operator 27.5 is all speed. The bike also features a 12×148 rear thru-axle and 73mm BB, resulting in a narrower bike that’s less prone to pedal clipping issues, without compromising wheel stiffness. The new frame design results in an overall stiffer package, thanks to a refined chainstay, pivot configuration and larger diameter seat post, with smoother shock performance under load because of an upper shock mount that rotates on sealed ball bearings."
